Right? It's so bad. (Are the Spanish as competitive about the Portuguese as the Portuguese are about the Spanish? I always figured Portugal was just jealous of Spain for actually being known in other countries but that Spain was too busy to worry about things like that.) |

The overall impression I got was that Spaniards didn't feel competitive with the Portuguese exactly---more the attitude that Spain was so obviously superior. Sort of "oh Portugal so cute thinking they can be as great as us." My host family went on vacation there though and talked about how much they loved it! |

My grandma wants me to go to Fátima and light a candle, and it seems like a reasonable day/half-day trip from Lisbon. Would that be accurate? |

Yeah, I think so. Fátima is fairly close to my second city and the bus ride to Alcobaça was usually about an hour and a half. |
